Gerard J. Pannekoek is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Environmental Financial Products L.L.C., which specializes in developing and trading new environmental, financial and commodity markets.  It also designs risk management and hybrid financial instruments that enhance the interrelationships between the capital, commodity and environmental markets.

Mr. Pannekoek previously served as Senior Vice President of ABN AMRO Incorporated, which he joined as a member of its senior management team following the acquisition of certain business lines from Sakura Dellsher, Inc. (SDI), a global derivatives brokerage firm.  At SDI, where he worked from 1994 until August 2000, Mr. Pannekoek was Executive Vice President, Chairman of the Executive Committee and voting member of the Management Committee.  In that capacity he had complete responsibility for the firm’s expansion into full-service energy derivatives brokerage. Through this effort, SDI became a main player in the brokerage industry for natural gas, crude oil, weather and bandwidth cash and derivatives products.

Prior to joining SDI, Mr. Pannekoek served as Director of International Marketing at Quantum Financial Services (QFS) from 1991 until 1994.

Mr. Pannekoek started his career as Senior Manager of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in Chicago.

Mr. Pannekoek is a native of the Netherlands, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the H.E.A.O. College in Zwolle.  He earned his Masters of Management Degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.

  Mr. Pannekoek is a member of the Finance Advisory Council of the University of Iowa and is a founding member of the Round Table 5 Chicago chapter of the worldwide volunteer and service organization.
